When we start reading the Quran, we should start by seeking refuge from the devil by saying “Euzu Billahimin eshsheytanirracim” because it is said as such in the sura “Nahl,” verse 98. The words “to seek refuge” (euzu) and “to read” (kara) are used 17 times each in the Quran.
98- When you read the Quran, you shall seek refuge in God from Satan the rejected.
